There are always a few things that it would be nice to have in view, but they are usually behind Lightroom. I was wondering if connecting it to the HDMI port on the USB hub would work? I suppose if it does I could use the iMac as my main screen for photo editing, etc., but I could move other stuff off to the 2nd screen.

I have never used a 2 monitor setup before with Windows, but many people do. I have an old 21.5" 1920x1080 monitor packed away and I started thinking that I could probably fit it and the iMac on my computer table. It will give me an HDMI port, an SD card reader, and several USB-A ports. This looks like it is the same one on Amazon Japan: Somewhere (maybe on this forum) someone recommended this USB hub on Amazon: While waiting I am continuing my research. Slow to get the 16gb model here in Japan. The M1 iMac 16gb/512gb that I ordered last week should arrive in another week or two.

I used a search engine searching for info on how to connect an extra monitor to an M1 iMac and it found this old thread.
